KFC needed to reconnect with a generation that was fast losing interest in the brand. We had to bring them into the fold, so we brought them into our kitchen instead.

When launching the new Zinger, we let TikTok invent our recipe. We ‘leaked’ the ingredients to a few chosen TikTokers and then opened it up for everyone to literally pile on.

For the first time, Gen Z were lovin’ KFC more than any other fast food brand and we ended up with the most viral burger in Singapore TikTok’s history.

This is what the people wanted, in all it’s glory.

'Zhng’ is Singlish for pimped-up.
